P-CEP Students & Families: This morning (Monday, September 19) fire alarm and sprinkler systems were activated on the third floor of Salem High School due to smoke in one of the bathrooms. To ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, Salem High School was quickly evacuated, and local police and fire department personnel arrived on site to assist. No students or staff were harmed, and the evacuation process went smoothly. Due to the water collection from our sprinkler system being engaged, and to give us time to safely restore the building, we are going to plan for a scheduled dismissal of all P-CEP students beginning at 11:30 a.m. This will resemble a traditional dismissal just at an earlier time, with bus and family pickup as well as students transporting themselves as per our usual dismissal process.
